All red (again...)

Done. Now testing it.

Didn’t see the full logs, I think you need to let it go through the entire process.

Can you upload logs again after running your last sync?

Okay, aborted this one, threw away the logs and now starting again. So that will be tomorrow. If it finishes at all. Hope so.

Goodmorning! Just send the log and database, no idea how long the syncing took.

Thanks, I might be on to something!
Can you try the following:

  1. Create a new playlist
  2. Add ALL tracks to that playlist (CMD+A to select all)
  3. Go to the Sync page like normal and choose Playlist sync
  4. Select all playlists (CMD+A on the top most “Playlists”)

Should look like this:

Then sync to your usual external drive.

This is basically the same as a Full Sync, with the exception that it won’t throw away unrecognized tracks from Engine and I suspect that call might be taking a very long time.

You don’t need to run this sync for hours. If it takes longer than 15 minutes, you can cancel it.

Have send logs and database for the ALL TRACKS trick.

Did you cancel it or did it finish within reasonable time?

I cancelled it, after an half hour or something like that.

Can you try this build? Changed some configuration that may alleviate the issue

Tried the configuration for about 15 minutes of which 14 minutes for ‘finishing up’. So I guess there’s no difference. (Sadly.)

Try it longer please, in my testing it was about 5 times faster on a USB with older protocol. Your last full sync took about 5 hours so maybe we can get that down at least. If so, then I know where to look.

It’s 90 minutes now… I have four versions of Lexicon on my MacBook now. The original one, an extra log-version, the Rekord Box-version and this latest one. I hope they can’t interfere with another? (They can’t run together.)

Over three hours now. Do you think it has any use to continue?

Nah they won’t interfere. I guess it’s not much faster…

Would have been great. So I can finish syncing now, I guess? Do you need the log?

That’s okay, I don’t think it has any new info. I will investigate further. Might not have a lot of time to do so though, nearing the release so very busy with other things

I understand. But really hope there will be a solution. Thanks for a the efforts!

There is one more thing I would like to ask. As I told you when I cloned two folders full of music on Carbon Copy Cleaner, it copied all tracks, even if they were already in de target-folder. That’s not how it is supposed to be. It’s like CCC or the MacBook itself doesn’t realize files are the same. I guess Lexicon also checks if files and playlists are the same on the source and on the target and if not, takes action. But now the syncing-process takes about five hours and that’s about the same time as just copying the disk. Could there be some setting in the Mac or in for example Lexicon, that stands in the way of the usual process of comparing the files?
