Ability to shorten "year" feild

What is the feature or ability you would like to have?
A couple of record pools I use helpfully put the entire upload date in the “year” feild in the format YYYYMMDD A recipie to trim the offending characters off the end would be awesome

See above. Maybe just making the “shorten text” function also work on the year field

Not that i’m aware of

Does a workaround currently exist?
Do it yourself for every track

The problem here is that the Year field is a number field so things like splitting is not really something you can do.
This is quite rare for the year field to contain data like that and I would even call it mangled data so I’m afraid this is going to be a manual fix.
