After importing about 200 tunes this week from recent downloading sessions and scouting, I analysed all of them Lexicon and then transferred to Traktor.
As much as I wanted to love the new beatgrid analyser, it’s just really bad. Sorry!
Constantly missing the downbeat on House tunes that are less than 20 years old (digital version, not vinyl rips) and putting the BPM with two decimal places when it’s clearly 128, 129, 130 BPM on the nose. This results in a wild fluctuation for no reason.
A quick reanalysis in Traktor sorts things out in seconds.
This feature just isn’t ready, why was it rushed out without EXTENSIVE testing with a library of over 10k tunes?
