Can Not find file in app database after import

Please fill in this bug report template:

Lexicon version: … 1.8.7
Operating system (remove one):Mac

Bug description:I have a few files that when after doing an import from Virtual DJ I get a report that says "Could not find “/volumes/john’s ssd/main music/laid back - white horse (performance video) (dirty) (extended).mp4” in DJ app database. This is just one example of the message as it appears for several files and since some of the files are in multiple playlists the report list this several times for each file.

The files are in Virtual DJ and play in that software just fine. They just don’t appear in Lexicon.

I am afraid that if I then sync from Lexicon into Virtual DJ those songs will then not be in the database nor any of the playlists.

Step by step to reproduce: Full import into Lexicon from Virtual DJ. Report comes back saying complete import but with errors.
Library Import (Virtualdj) 2025-07-18.txt (9.5 KB)

Screenshot:report attached

UPDATE: When I import one of the playlist that is listed in the report then it seems to find the file as I get no error report.

Can you zip and upload your entire VirtualDJ folder? You can find it by opening VDJ, settings, then clicking the small settings icon at the bottom.

You can upload with this link: http://upload.lexicondj.com

Ok uploaded

Hmm I only get the error messages on different tracks that don’t appear in your database.xml file. The one you mentioned is in the database.xml though and the track also imports here

Are these important tracks? Maybe just do a full sync to VDJ after the import so those tracks are cleared from VDJ. Should not show the errors in the report after that. It’s usually old leftover tracks that cause this in VDJ.
