I’ve been on Lexicon for over a year now, just recently upgraded to the premium plan so I could edit my library on the go. However, when syncing the changes I’ve made as a test, nothing happened in my Lexicon library. Thankfully I didn’t do too much work but it’s still annoying to spend 30 minutes on a task for no reason.
Anyway, I’ve tried syncing on both my iPad and my Android, same result. The mobile apps update with any changes that are made on my Mac, but my Mac’s Lexicon app doesnt update any changes made on the other devices. Ive tried both the “Sync Now” and “Upload Only” options. I cant find any instructional videos on this on YouTube either.
Is there anything I can do on my end or is the feature just broken?
Hi! What settings do you have on the mobile screen inside Lexicon?
That decides if it should import your changes. So normally anything newer from the mobile app is imported on sync. Upload Only should work fine for that.
It’s exactly that, both options say “Mobile metadata/playlists if more recently changed”
To be specific, I created a new playlist on the mobile app, threw a bunch of songs in that playlist, and then tried to sync but the new playlist doesn’t show up in my lexicon desktop app.
Not in the Lexicon/Mobile playlist folder?
Ahhh I didnt know it would upload to another folder. I assumed it would update the folder I nested my new playlist in but my playlist was in the folder you mentioned. Cool, thank you!
Ideally I would love to be able to update my library on mobile and then have lexicon recognize and update only the modified files but the “sync” option deleted the playlist I made on mobile. Dont know if thats a bug but it seems like it? For now I’ll just keep using the “upload only” option
Yeah it puts the playlists you selected from the desktop on the phone and if you enabled the Cleanup option, it removes files & playlists that were not in the sync. Maybe you had that on?
