Cue points on double files

Hello.

Someone know if it’s possible to copy cue points from a file to a duplicate one?

And also put the file in the same playlists, history…

Thx for your reply.

Yes, you can use the Find Duplicates utility. There is a special way to copy cues, see the manual and the Tags & cues copying chapter.

For the playlist, you can lock all results and then unlock each result you want in the playlist. Then press the button there to save unlock to a new playlist.

Thx for the explanation.

Another question?

Is it possible in the duplicate management system to have information about whether a track is in a playlist (or multiple playlists)?

Can the program, when deleting a track, add the one being kept to the playlist(s) where the deleted track was located?

Thank you.

The deleted track is always replaced by the good track you want to keep, in all playlists

Hello,

Is there a manual in french somewhere? Or maybe a French community?

I try to manage a duplicated file and I finish to delete it from the hard drive :scream:

And I have 16000 duplicated files to clean so I’m afraid to lose other files.

Thx.

Sorry, English only but you can use google translate on the manual.

Using the duplicate scanner does not delete anything from your hard drive. It only deletes when you go into the Archive and use Cleanup there. So if you don’t do that last step, it will not delete from your hard drive.

Ok.

So :

  1. I import my libray in Lexicon.
  2. I use “FInd Duplicate” option
  3. I select the file I want to keep (and the from where I want to keep the CUE if needed)
  4. I save the “Archived Files” in a folder "Music/Lexicon/Watch Folder
  5. I “Sync” Lexicon with Rekrodbox (Full one).

When I open Rekordbox the files still appear but with a “!” even those I choose to remove.
There’s one not “analysed”.
When I try to “Relocate” the file he says me that there’s already a file located in the Watch folder.
When I search in the original folder for the file, he’s missing.

All my files are physicaly on my “Mac” and sync on a Dropbox (Hopefully I was able to undo the moving from the “Watch folder” to the original folder in the Dropbox).

Sorry for all those question, but I really want to use the program to clean my library.

Are you using Rekordbox Cloud Sync? Because that might not work there.

You don’t need to do step 3, that can be done later when you are sure everything is right.

Check how your tracks look in Lexicon, if playlists are good and without duplicates, then doing a full sync to RB should give you the same playlists there.

I Think I activated it once (I think they propose a trial or something like that). But I de-activated it because it’s a limited version (number of files/playlist or something like that).
And I think it’s at that moment that I have double my library.

Here you see that there’s 2 different path for those files.

Like this path “CloudStorage…”

Are those duplicates in Lexicon?

Yes.
I think I begin to understand.

The file in double are in double on my Dropbox online.
Only one time on my local drive.

Seems that Rekordbox show the two. I don’t know how he can play the files who aren’t physicly on the computer.

Anyway my problem is that I can’t delete or disable the display on one or another path because sometimes my cue and playlist files are on a copy and sometimes on the other.

Is it possible with Lexicon to merge the cue points and the “belonging” at a playlist without deleting the files?

Yes, that’s how the Find Duplicates utility works. It won’t break your playlists. See Find Duplicates

Deleting files only happens in the Archive after that, you don’t need to do that. So just consolidate duplicates, check if your playlists are still good in Lexicon and then Full Sync to Rekordbox.
After that, you can clean up (delete) the Archive, if you want.
