What is the feature or ability you would like to have?
The chance to define a custom selection of colors per cue-slot in the recipe “Change Cue Colors”

How will this feature help you and others?
This way the user can select all the songs needed.
Apply this recipe and give a more personal feel to the color mapping.

Is this feature available in an existing product? If so, what product?
Nope

Does a workaround currently exist?
Use the replace color recipe per cueslot

OR

the chance to add the custom color profile in the settings section

This is a bit too custom for now. Maybe look into Cue Templates (right click any cue) with hotkeys to set your cues quickly with the right colors

could you please bring back the replace colors recipe then?

it seems you combined it with the replace cue text recipe but ti doesn’t work…

everything stays the same after running that recipe on a load of tunes.

The way it works is that you need to enter both a Match Text and a Match Color. If you don’t enter a Match Color, it will look for cues that don’t have any color.

I’ll admit that’s not totally clear and I can definitely make that better/easier.

ah ok.

From the looks of it, it looked like it’s based on a OR b.

But it works tho’! Pretty neat feature! Cool to have it combined like that. (an OR function would be better no?)

Correct me if 'm wrong but wouldn’t this way get the full potential out of that recipe?

fill in Match text → you can Set Color to it
fill in Match text → you can Replace with new text
fill in Match text → you can Set Color to it AND Replace with new text

fill in Match color → Set Text to it
fill in Match color → Replace with new color
fill in Match color → Set text to it AND Replace with new Color

Just an idea to brainstorm to in the future :wink:

It’s a bit tricky because it works for these situations:

  • Cue with color red and text “Drop”
  • Cue with no color and text “Drop”
  • Cue with no color and no text

But the situations that don’t work now are:

  • Ignore cue color (so any color) and text “Drop”
  • Cue with color red and ignore text (so any text)

Maybe I need to add a checkbox “Any color” and “Any text” or something.

Can we have it so:

Cue 1 - Change to always x colour
Cue 2 - Change to always x colour

Without it being a certain colour first?

I just want to change all cues 1 and cue 2 to two different colours and cues 5 and 6 to the same colour.

I don’t want to use the cue point generator, it’s not good enough for my system

If your cues have the same name, eg Cue 1 and Cue 2 on all your tracks, you can use the Find & Replace Cues recipe
