Custom Order for Color Sorting

What is the feature or ability you would like to have?
I want to be able to change the way in which the color palette is sorted in Lexicon.

How will this feature help you and others?
I’ve been using Rekordbox and CDJs for a long time. These work with a specific color palette and there is also a specific order for these colors.
I took advantage of this (you may call it somewhat arbitrary) color order to tag my tracks in order of intensity.
In the present I do all my tagging inside of Lexicon, of course, as it is lightyears away from any other software in this subject.
One of the factors I use to sort my playlists (I have lots of them, and some are very large) is obviously COLOR. So this is why I need these colors in lexicon to be sorted the way they are sorted in rekordbox, because I cannot tell you the kind of work it takes to manage this manually.

I know this might be a very particular request but I hope it can also be one of those “Oh-I-had-no-idea-I-wanted-this” requests.

Does a workaround currently exist?
I currently deal with with this by ordering my playlists by color, then BPM, then artist, then I do a “rewrite order”, then I “break” that order, then I start manually placing chunks of tracks in the order of colors Pioneer uses, and then I rewrite the order again. The thing is, when your playlists are pretty big (in my case because I like to almost fullt improvise -altough with a lot of preparation in a sense-) this action becomes very laggy and uncomfortable.

What kind of color order does the CDJ have?

I do think this is very specific use case though so probably won’t create a special option for it.

This is the way RB or a CDJ will sort colors. Don’t mind the words, you can name the colors and that’s just my way of naming them.
My argument is, if you are going to use colors for tagging tracks in any way, you are going to sort them in some way.
That sorting order shouldn’t be arbitrary, but if it’s going to be, maybe let it be the professional standard hehe.
Or maybe an easy solution is to create a little extra palette with just 8 colors that sort in that way, to follow rekordbox idiosyncrasy.

PD: This is the most basic palette you can use in RB, the one that is used to color tracks and memory cues, and it only lets you choose from those 8 colors. For hot cues there is more I think but I don’t use them.

Well actually the colors are sorted by their name now, so: Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Violet (and many more) which is why it seems like an arbitrary order.

But it should really follow the order that the colors are in the color picker, which should be the same as the RB colors I think

Oh right. To make them follow the order of the palette would be just PERFECT actually!
Thanks for your attention Christiaan, hope you can make that happen.
