Engine DJ Versions Supported

All of my music prep and database are via Lexicon DJ (works beautifully). This is synced to USB/SSD for Engine OS players (SC6000s, Prime GOs), which are currently on Engine OS 4.1. With the release of Engine 5.0.4 some issues may be resolved and I am considering the update in order not to fall too far behind.

The way Engine OS stores artwork changed with 5.0. Does Lexicon DJ support the new database format? I don’t see any choice when syncing. Everything works pretty efficiently right now and I can stay as is a bit longer. I don’t want to sync a database that Engine OS meddles with because the structure is different. It will likely retard the functioning, at first.

Thanks!

As far as I know Engine 5.0 works fine, I haven’t heard any reports about album art problems

Thanks. I guess it’s best to go with my policy of not updating when things are working well. I can tinker with Engine DJ desktop 5.0.4 since the desktop version of Engine isn’t part of my workflow.

If anyone is syncing Lexicon DJ to Engine OS 5.0.4, I’d appreciate your opinion. Of course, just as I ask the question, I see comments on the Engine DJ board that 5.0.4 may still have issues.

@Christiaan, thanks for keeping Lexicon DJ stable. It is truly the “One Library” DJ application.
