Excluding a playlist or playlists from Sync

i have an ALL TRACKS playlist in Serato for DJay reasons which i dont want synced to rekordbox or engine dj.

Currently i have to remember to delete this playlist before creating performance drive in Engine DJ, if i dont i end up with a that playlist of 79k tracks.

Another use case could be for excluding streaming files, video files , dj mixes etc during syncs.

Thought id ask.

Here’s a hidden tip: start your playlist name with Excluded From Sync and it won’t be synced. So for example Excluded From Sync: ALL TRACKS

I noticed i cant use colon in crates name in serato. Can i just name the crate “Excluded From Sync”

Will that work without the “:”

Yes, just needs to start with Excluded From Sync (case insensitive)

Any chance there could be a specific key sequence or code that we could use at the end of the playlist (to keep them sorted alphabetically)?

Also, why on earth is this tip “hidden”? :stuck_out_tongue:

I can change it to work anywhere in the playlist name, as long as it is exactly (case insensitive) “excluded from sync”
