Export to Engine DJ doesn't export all files of Playlists

Bro, you have ruined this app. It worked fine and now there are major issues with Engine DJ

Hi Christiaan,
I followed your suggestion and created a small separate playlist with tracks that were already problematic before.

Again, the tracks were not copied to the SSD and the newly created playlist is completely empty.

How can I send you the LexiconDJ and EngineDJ libraries?

That’s interesting. Can you upload the Lexicon database? From the Help menu.

Was this with an empty Engine SSD? If so, I don’t need anything else except the music files. You can upload those to http://upload.lexicondj.com
If the SSD was not empty, just compress the entire Engine Library/Database2 folder and upload it too

Hi Christiaan,
I already sent you all the files a few days ago.

However, it has now turned out that the problems are related to the file system of the SSD (FAT32).
I tried to manually copy the files from the Music folder of my newly created USB stick to the SSD and got the error 0X80070052: The directory or file cannot be created. It looks like there are too many files in the Music folder for the FAT32 file system…

FAT32 is quite old, try using exFAT instead

I have worked with exfat for a while, but found it very prone to file system errors…
Unfortunately EngineDJ can only use FAT32 or exfat.

Maybe the disk is broken? You can check for SMART errors or just try a different drive

The problems I had with exfat were not with my SSD but with a conventional hard disk.

I have now formatted my SSD low level exfat and copied my files back onto it. Now the export to EngineDJ from LexiconDJ works again without any problems. It might be helpful if LexiconDJ would give an error message if not all files can be copied.

IN ANY CASE, MY PROBLEM IS NOW SOLVED, IT WAS DEFINITELY DUE TO THE FAT32 FILE SYSTEM.

Great
I agree a message would be good but I’m not sure it can be detected since I did not see errors in the logs  Hard disk errors are weird!
