I’m on the latest version of Lexicon on Mac and I have at present a Basic subscription. I’m using Rekordbox 7 latest release (7.0.4.0021)
I decided to completely wipe and reboot my Rekordbox library. I used the ‘non-XML’ sync to RB7, kept the RB cloud option off, and turned off auto-analyse and kept the RB ‘cloud analyse’ option on. As I analysed the tracks (so far so good for that) I noticed about 3/4 were missing the file art. When I Googled this, the first hit was the Lexicon manual instructions to reload the tags.
When I did this, the file tags in RB were completely stripped of everything except ‘track title’ (= file name in the actual music files). I did check that I had already (a few days ago) written tags to file for all music files in Lexicon. When I viewed the files in Finder, all the correct tag information is present. But when I reload these in RB, they’re all stripped.
Any advice? I don’t think I overlooked anything here - I had first brought over the comment/key tag from MIK but had adhered (as far as I can see) to the advice in the knowledge base about that.
Is it possible - given that everything looks as it should leaving Lexicon en route to RB - that this is some kind of Rekordbox problem/bug?
If it matters, I reproduced the problem using both the direct and then also the XML sync options (I tried the other one to see if it made any odds).
