Hello,
When using find duplicates on 2 identical playlists (1 = streaming tidal, the other = mp3), I get only 3 duplicates, even using high tolerance
Is that normal and what can i do about it?
Thank you for your help

Isn’t it the same track in different playlists?
Yes but streaming (tidal) vs mp3 (the tracks i bought)
Yeah okay but they are seen as duplicates so I’m not sure what the problem is?
The problem is Lexicon misses 17 duplicates (it only finds 3/20 duplicates)
It’s the exact same playlist, so it should find 100% duplicates (of course i’d understand there is some misses due to different naming but like 5 or 10% max?).
Do you see why it only detects those 3 and not the others? The artists and titles are identical for most of the tracks though.
Okay I see what you mean. Not sure why that is yet. Can you upload your Lexicon database & logs? From the Help menu. I’ll take a closer look.
Database sent but i did it on my laptop, and strangely, here Lexicon found 13 duplicates..?
I’ll send you the other database next week (i don’t have access to my other computer right now)
Hi @Christiaan I just sent the database from my other pc (3/20 duplicates)
Thank you for having a look.
Cheers
Okay the problem is that those tracks don’t have a duration loaded so the scanner ignores it. You can reload tags, it should add the correct duration and it should find it after that.
I’ll remove the duration check, I don’t think it’s needed anymore.
Ah OK. Perhaps the duration check can be maintained at the lowest tolerance level..?
Do you see why the 7 remaining duplicates are not found? Is there anything that could be done to make it pass the maximum tolerance test..?
Tks
I’m not sure but try the scan again in the next version. I changed how the duration check works so it should only apply to audio scans and not artist/title scans. Streaming tracks are the latter.
OK thanks, sure i’ll try it
