Is there a recipe to change non standard letters to english letters

Hi @Christiaan

Quick question, is there a recipe/quick fix to change stuff like $, @, è, é, ě etc to standard letters i.e A - Z in the file tags in the library?

Like Ty Dolla $ign to Ty Dolla Sign

This recipe is not ideal ah

Easier to type and search for S than trying to find $

That recipe works for accented characters like é etc but it does not replace special characters like $ yet.
I think it makes sense if I improve that! Are there any other characters you think it should replace?

I’m thinking about these right now:

  • $ → S
  • @ → A
  • ß → ss
  • € → E

£ = E
¥ = Y
! = _

Maybe those ones as well

Not sure about exclamation mark, only reason I see to do that is to make it nicer for file systems but that’s not what the recipe is specifically intended for. Any time Lexicon uses tags for filesystem it will already replace/remove unsupported characters.
