Lexicon to Engine for stems

Hello Christian,
I have the latest version of Lexicon and the latest version of Engine.
Regarding the stems, when I add songs directly from the USB to the engine, the songs can be analyzed for stems. When I sync my Lexicon library, either just a few playlists or the full library, the songs cannot be analyzed for stems. Please advise me of a solution.
Thanks in advance!

It’s important to sync Lexicon to your Engine desktop so stems can be created there

I do that, and nothing happens, not analysis. I do sync my Lexicon to my Engine on my MacBook and still stems cannot be created. This is why I asked for your help.

Can you make a screenshot of a track that won’t generate stems?

And can you upload your Lexicon database & logs? From the Help menu.

I uploaded the database, and I’m sending you the screen recording to see that nothing happens when I select the stems analysis. thank you for your attention.

Thanks, can you also upload your Engine database? Just so I have everything :+1: It’s this folder: Music/Engine Library/Database2

You can upload with this link: http://upload.lexicondj.com

I just uploaded it. Please check it out and let me know. Thank you so much!

Just need one more database, the one on your Samsung USB: /Volumes/Samsung USB/Engine Library/Database2

Are you sure you set this option?

In the logs I can see you synced to the Samsung USB directly

i tried to upload the database from here but it doesn’t allow me its too big

yes i sync the library in the USB directly and I use the same USB to the players.
no problem at all with all the previews versions…just now with the stems only facing the issue.
just tomremind you that if I add songs to the engine directly without going through the lexicon first, then the stems can be analyzed and work. thanks

You can upload with the same link: http://upload.lexicondj.com

I’m uploading it now, you will receive it soon. thanks

Yeah so your tracks are referring to a database that doesn’t exist (or at least not either of the one you uploaded). No idea where it came from, possibly an old database or maybe you moved things around. That’s not a problem anywhere until you try to generate stems. In my opinion that’s a shortcoming of the way they created stems in Engine, but that is besides the point.

I’ll see if there is a logical way to solve this without breaking other things, stay tuned…

Thank you very much, I appreciate your effort. looking forward to have news from you.

Okay, I figured it out, it was a very small and hard to find bug in Lexicon. Next beta update fixes it (in a few days probably). You just have to sync to USB again.

Ok that’s great. No problem to sync everything again when we have the next version…also I’m happy to kinda help via my issue to find and fix this bug. Thanks and waiting for the update. By the way, your support to the users is fantastic. Well done!

UPDATE! Problem solved.
With the latest update of the Lexicon today, and after I followed your instructions to sync the full library to Engine again, the stems can now be created and work at the hardware as they should. Once again, congratulations, Christiaan, for the excellent user support. You are a legend!
