Hi Christiaan, I’m having a stems-problem too. When I create stems in Engine DJ, it all works fine, but I don’t understand how to keep them. When I sync from Engine to Lexicon, they don’t show up in Lexicon. And when I sync from Lexicon (my homebase) to Engine, they also disappear in Engine DJ. So what’s the workflow to keep the newly created stems and keep Lexicon DJ as my homebase? One more thing I should add: I do see the stems-files on my hd’s, after syncing, but not in Lexicon or Engine. Thanks in advance!
I haven’t added support for engine stems yet so I have to do that at some point

That would be great. This way I don’t see how to use stems in a good way. I’ve tried them a couple of times and it’s a great toy. But when you can’t keep them, the fun is gone. I think a ‘passive’ system would be enough. Lexicon doesn’t have to produce stems, it only needs a special folder for them.
Hi @Christiaan I’ve reverse engineered how Engine DJ stores stems because I don’t like the poor quality stems Engine DJ creates. I was wondering if I shared it with you if you’d be ok with adding stem syncing to Lexicon? It’s ok if that’s not something you want to do. What I have works well for me, just thought others might want better stems on EngineOS/EngineDJ. Thanks.

You can share any info you have so it will help my own research when I do it later. But I’m not adding stems yet now, that will be the next beta maybe
@ryan_marsh8186 It’s great to know you have cracked the code on those. Assuming, Engine DJ hasn’t shaken things up with version 5.1.
Mojaxx illuminated us to the great variation in stems with this video. There are many other videos out there too. In addition to studio created stems (few), we have an expanding selection of software to create stems (Ableton Live Suite, Moises, Neural Mix Pro…).
I’ve been sitting on creating a feature request for Engine DJ capability to package the stems audio files of our choice in Engine DJ. At this time, Engine DJ staff are likely overwhelmed, so I have held back on that. Virtual DJ has that option: https://youtu.be/U3zTWmDlU-c?si=7cUqdykDzwDMserg.
@Christiaan, this would be an awesome feature, but, I might guess it’s a heavy lift. Plus, the more specialized features built in, the more chance of issues when the target software changes.

Ok, now “Joss84” has created a related feature request over on the Engine Community Board for Engine users to have the ability to link the stems of their choice.
