Bug description:
The track browser’s per-column filtering no longer behaves correctly when using Title and Artist together.
This used to work as expected. I could type part of a song name in the Title column and part of an artist name in the Artist column, and the results would narrow to tracks matching both fields. I could also combine filters like Key, BPM, and Energy and get properly narrowed results.
Now, BPM, Key, and Energy still appear to filter correctly, but Title and Artist do not.
The main issue is that when I enter text in the Artist filter, the Title filter seems to be ignored or has little to no effect. In some cases, it does not seem to matter what I type in the Title field once the Artist field contains a value. The results shown are not properly narrowed by both columns together.
This makes it much harder to find tracks using multi-column filtered searches, especially when trying to locate a specific song version by title + artist combination.
Expected behavior:
Each column filter should work together as a combined filter. For example:
- Title =
the weekend - Artist =
sza
This should only return rows matching both the title and artist criteria.
Actual behavior:
- Artist filtering appears to affect results.
- Title filtering does not appear to correctly combine with Artist filtering.
- Changing the text in the Title field often does not meaningfully change the results when Artist is already populated.
- BPM, Key, and Energy still appear to work normally.
Step by step to reproduce:
- Open the track browser.
- In the Title filter, type a track name or partial track name, such as
the weekend. - In the Artist filter, type an artist name, such as
sza. - Review the returned results.
- Change the text in the Title field to something different or even incorrect.
- Notice that the results do not update as expected based on both filters together.
- Compare this to filtering by fields such as BPM, Key, and Energy, which still appear to narrow results correctly.
