Serato 4 is back to what it was before yesterday, nothing else changed
I am having the same issue from this thread. I just rolled back with the most recent Lexicon update, then tried to sync to a fresh install of Serato 4.0.5 with the Pro 4 database option, but my crates donât sync, same as the previous update.
Does it show the correct crates for a second before they disappear? Seems like Serato falls back to the old crates if that happens
Nope. Not at all. Only thing I see is the All Serato Packs crate and All Serato Loops crate. Looks like all my TRACKS are there under âAllâ, but absolutely NO crates in any form.
Okay I can look into it but I need some of the files. Do you use any external drive for your music?
Serato 4 uses multiple databases (which is why all this is so tricky), they are here, assuming you use mac:
/Users/chris/Library/Application Support/Serato/Library- on each external drive that has music:
_Serato_/Library
You can zip those and upload here: http://upload.lexicondj.com
Then I can inspect them and see what is happening
All mine are on internal drive.
Sent. Zipped the previous _serato folder and the new Serato 4 Library folder.
Quick update: I finally fixed it.
The issue was not with the crates themselves in Lexicon, but with Serato on my Mac. What solved it was renaming Seratoâs support folder here:
Finder â Go â Go to FolderâŠ
Then paste: ~/Library/Application Support/
Inside there, I found the Serato folder, renamed it to for example âserato.oldâ, and then reopened Serato so it could rebuild fresh support files. After that, all my crates came back normally!
I didnât know before that you need to use Go to Folder to access the hidden Library support folder on macOS, so hopefully this helps someone else too.
This worked for meâŠAfterward, I tried again to sync from Lexicon with the Serato 4 database, and got the error again that is the subject of this post. Syncing with Serato 3 looks like it worked after applying this fix. Thanks.
Could you send me your ~/Library/Application Support/Serato/Library folder when it gives that error? I want to solve that but Iâm not getting it myself
Hi! I have not been able to solve this problem. I sent a sample folder. Thanks
Ok I understand. After using this method Iâve described, in Lexicon just do âplaylist syncâ not âfull syncâ - it may help according to my research.
Could be, full sync does a cleanup where the problem might be. Iâm investigating it now
Try the beta version please, it has a possible fix for the problem: Download | Lexicon DJ - DJ Library Management
I used the blue beta version) Download | Lexicon DJ - DJ Library Management
after deleting the folder
~/Library/Application Support/Serato
~/Music/_Serato
~/Music/_Serato_Backup
Serato is back in working order!
Thank you for your quick response and prompt work!
Awesome, glad that was the fix ![]()
Hi
Iâve same problem, and I would like to know if the last version of Lexicon solve the problem? (1.10.5)
Thanks a lot
I am releasing an update today with a fix that should also auto fix the broken serato database so just a full sync should work
So it didn`t solve the problem for me,
for the sync phase, it ask me to open and close Serato to finish setup"
and It didnât change.
My library is here but all the crates not.
Also when I try to import (Serato 4) I can see my library.
but when I try to export, I canât cause he ask me to open and close Serato to finish the setup.
