Sync problem Engine 4.1.0 to Prime 4+

Please fill in this bug report template:

Lexicon version: 1.75
**Operating system : Mac

Bug description:
1.
Made an export to Engine 4.10 and then export to my USB Drive. Everything is ok. I then changed some Hot Cues and grids of tracks on the Prime 4+ and then wanted to synchronize them with my Engine software. But the sync manager says “No new data to sync”!!
I tried it with various tracks - the same error everywhere

But if I import a track without LXC directly to Engine and then change it on the Prime4+, the sync manager shows me that there is new data to import - everything works as it should.

  1. If I connect the Prime 4+ to the Mac via WiFi, I can access the Engine library directly. I can then see the imported playlists + tracks from LXC, but I can’t load the tracks. The error message from the screenshot always appears. Tracks that have been added to the engine library without LXC - i.e. directly - can be loaded immediately!

Set a new fresh database and USB Stick, all tracks are analyzed new in Engine

Step by step to reproduce: Every time

Made a new test with direct imported tracks from Serato to Engine Library- everything works fine, Tracks are directly loadable from Prime via Mac, changes at Hot Cue’s and Grids are visible in sync manager with changes and request to update the library.

You said Engine 4.0.1, but the latest is 4.1.0. Did you mean that?

If you want your Engine library to be reachable over wifi (with Remote Library) then use the checkbox for it on the Sync screen. That might not be compatible with a normal sync though, so deleting the Engine library might be required…

Ah sorry- 4.1 was the right.
I won’t have access to LXC remote library. With Prime4+ you have direct access to the Engine Library via WIFI- that’s what I mean.

I tihnk we mean the same thing, Engine Remote Library

Try the checkbox on the Sync screen. Make a database backup first

Ok set the checkbox for remote Library and both problems get fixed.

I would not have guessed that the two things were related.
Sorry for the inconvenience - I changed the title of the thread - it wasn’t a bug

Keep in mind that the database may not work without having that checkbox in the future, because Lexicon had to change internal IDs in the Engine database for Remote Library to work. If you run into issues, the solution is delete the Egnine database and let Lexicon re-sync to an empty one.

I’ve deleted the old Database before the new sync. We will see how it’s work stable.
