Hi Team,
I have some weird issues. When syncing with my external Rekordbox Lib, it doesn’t sync the correct location were the files is stored. This goes both ways (sync from rekordbox to lexicon and backwards) I always need to realocate every single file. I looks like when I’m syncing it thinks that the files are on the internal HD instead of the external.
Can you explain why this is and how it can be solved ?
Thx for support in advance,
Robin
Hi,
Do you have RB Cloud Sync enabled? That could cause it.
And what would help if you make a screenshot of the correct and broken track location so I can see the difference.
Hi Christian,
Thanks for you quick reply.
What I’m seeing (print screen recordbox) is that when I sync with Lexicon it does something with the destination adres. The top line number I have relocated after the sync, and the second line is the one that comes from Lexicon. This is happening with every song I have (15K)
The correct destination is: /Volumes/DJ FAS/Rekordbox/…
When I a sync with Lexicon it changed this towards: /Volumes/DJ FAS/ /Volumes/DJ FAS/Rekordbox
So it replicated the destination drive.
Cloudsync is by the way not on
Any ideas to solve this ?
Cheers,
Robin
Okay so just to confirm, in Lexicon they are also /Volumes/DJ FAS/Volumes/DJ FAS/
?
Can you upload your Lexicon database & logs? From the Help menu. And put a link to this page in the description please.
The first time 1 sync my RB DB I needed to relocate everything. After that I did some some cleaning in the DB with Lexicon…after that I synced my DB with RB and then the /Volumes/DJ FAS/Volumes/DJ FAS/ happened again. So the syncing goes wrong both ways.
I have uploaded the log
Hi @Christiaan,
Any updates on this ?
Hope you can works this one out.
Thx,
Robin
I don’t see the double paths in Lexicon, but maybe you already fixed them there?
I did a Full Sync to RB with your library and everything is good there now too
I Lexicon, I have realocated everything…so it’s correct that the paths are good.
But when Fully syncing back with RB it going wrong and is adding the extra pad to it.
Any thoughts ?
@Christiaan
It also don’t sync the beat grid with I have to analyze all my 15K songs.
Please respond, why this is happening or offer some possible solutions ?
You should only analyze with Phrase enabled (not beatgrid) so it retains your beatgrids from Lexicon.
As for the double paths, I’m not sure why yet. Is your Rekordbox database in the default location or did you move it? Because I’m seeing this location in the logs /Volumes/DJ FAS/PIONEER/Master/master.db
Hi Christiaan,
My rekordbox DB is indeed on an external volume, so I can use it on multiple computers.
I beleven this is causing it. I have made an export to Serato (is on my local drive) with gave no problem with wrong paths to the music ?
So I’m really touching in the dark now :-/
I will do a test with the RB database on an external drive tomorrow and see if I can reproduce it
Still found no problems with syncing I renamed my drive the same as yours DJ FAS
, moved the RB database to it and synced, but no double paths. Tried with new tracks as well (deleted them from RB first) and again, no problem.
Maybe it is related to your hard drive setup somehow, but at the moment I don’t know how or why.
My last suggestion is to delete your RB database, which is this file: /Volumes/DJ FAS/PIONEER/Master/master.db
and the backup files next to it. Then start RB, close it and do a full sync. (You can also rename the PIONEER folder as a backup to put back later)
That does mean you need to re-analyze your tracks after the sync in RB. Make sure you only enable “Phrase” and not beatgrid.
Hi Christiaan,
I did we you have asked. The problem with the wrong paths are now solved.
Now analyzing only with Phrase. I hope I will see the beat grid again, because I don’t see it coming back again on the fist analyzed tracks
Is this normal ?
Cheers,
Robin
It should come back because Lexicon syncs the grids to your RB database. With only Phrase enabled, RB should not overwrite any grids
