Just bought a new Macbook pro 2019, transfered everything over to the new mac from the old. When i open lexicon and try to play any of my tracks it says, unable to play: Check security software or permission. followed the previous step from others but nothing is working. Really need help!!
Start with these steps please: Troubleshooting common problems
Hello
Try adding lexicon to full disk access under System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy . Also check that you have Read and Write permission on your music folder .
Okay Just did that! When i try to open lexicon it’s saying its a update error: Please drag lexicon to you applications folder to enable updates. The app is in the applications folder, sigh
Does it launch normally now? Other than the update message.
You can try downloading it again and put it in your Applications folder before launching it: Download | Lexicon - DJ Library Management
No it does not, the error is preventing it from launching. Deleted the app and reinstalled it into the application folder and still popping up.
I don’t really know why you are seeing that, to be honest. What macos version are you on?
Sonoma 14.6.1
Hmm if you get that popup then the launcher does work. Normally that popup is not a deal breaker, it should still launch Lexicon after that.
Check in System Settings → Privacy & Security if this setting is enabled:
Other than that I don’t really know what to try. Maybe check the Console
app in and see if it shows anything useful when trying to launch Lexicon.
