VDJ 2026 Fluid Beatgrids

Just curious, as I’m developing my workflow for this new feature. I know Lexicon doesn’t do the fluid beatgrid thing, and I’m ok with that. But if I analyze fluid beatgrids in VDJ, then import from VDJ to Lexicon, will the data remain so that when I sync back to VDJ, the previously analyzed fluid grids remain intact? Just trying to figure out the best way to keep my library tidy when it comes to these new features.

Thanks again for the hard work. Lexicon is a true gem. Now that I have a Rev7, it was so easy to get my library into 3 different programs (Serato, VDJ, and Rekordbox) without any hassle.

Currently it does not retain it, that’s something I need to support later, when I have some time for it

Follow-up to this…Here’s my scenario.

  1. Create a playlist in Lexicon, then sync it to VDJ.
  2. Scan a track in VDJ to create a fluid beat-grid for a track with a drifting BPM.
  3. Edit the playlist in Lexicon, either by adding/subtracting tracks, adding cue points, or any other minor edits to the playlist and/or its tracks.

Is there a way that when I sync the playlist from Lexicon to VDJ again that I won’t have to re-scan the fluid beatgrid I made in step 2? Currently, every time I sync, I have to re-scan any fluid tracks.

What I tried:

  1. Sync playlist to VDJ then scan the fluid beatgrid.
  2. Import the same playlist back to Lexicon (both with and without the beatgrid checked in the “Import Specific Fields” dialog.

Either way, I have to re-scan the tracks with fluid beatgrids each time I go back to VDJ. Is this a feature that will be looked at in the near future? Not looking for Lexicon support for the fluid beatgrid, as I’m sure that has a lot of moving parts in the background. I’m simply looking for a way that it leaves that data alone on import/sync and doesn’t force me to redo the scan each time an edit in Lexicon is synced back to VDJ, much like the data for linked tracks, hotcues, etc.
